Farm-to-Restaurant Symposium

Farm-to-Restaurant Symposium
Mon, May 7th @ 11:00am
Intuition Ale Works: 720 King Street, Jacksonville

Northeast Florida is similar to California when it comes to having year-round access to fresh ingredients…and like it has done for California, utilizing small farms within the restaurant industry has the potential to transform this region into a leader in destination dining.

The Farm-to-Restaurant Symposium is a networking event for folks in the farm and food industry that are interested in learning about how to develop farm/restaurant partnership programs. A panel of some of the region’s top chefs, including Chef Tom Gray of Bistro Aix, Chef Scott Schwartz of 29 South, and Chef Guy Ferri of Black Sheep Restaurant, and their farm partners will discuss their experience as business owners and innovators in the farm-to-table movement.

This event is designed to bring together restaurant owners, chefs, and farmers to build partnerships and to explore the benefits and how to navigate the challenges of using locally-sourced ingredients. All attendees to the event will receive a Farm-to-Restaurant Directory of farms and businesses that are open to partnerships.  This is a free event.
